  1. Always eat breakfast: Eating a balanced breakfast within 30-60 minutes after waking up helps start your metabolism for the day. It can also prevent you from overeating throughout the day.
  2. Drink water, and LOTS of it: Aim to drink 8-10 eight ounce glasses of water per day, drink even more during exercise.
  3. Adjust your portions: If you’re like (the old) me, you probably eat EVERYTHING on the plate, even after your appetite is satisfied. Instead of stuffing yourself, listen to your body, if you feel full, save the extra for leftovers.
