2011 has been an AMAZING year! There were so many great things that happened in my life, these are the most memorable…

Birth of my daughter

I am at a loss for words to explain the amount of joy I felt when I gave birth to my daughter, Ligaya. I am a Mother of THREE now; yep…I have 3 KIDS! I am so grateful that God chose me to be their mother. Being a Mom is (and will always be) my proudest accomplishment.

Post-Pregnancy Weight Loss

The further my pregnancy progressed, the harder I felt it would be for me to lose the baby weight. I admit, I WENT IN when I was pregnant (lol!). I ate how I wanted to, my husband spoiled me, and I did A LOT of relaxing. In hindsight, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I had a happy pregnancy and through hard work, discipline, exercise and LIFESTYLE changes, I not only reached my pre-pregnancy weight, I lost 8 additional pounds! I’m currently maintaining at 120 pounds and hope to be down to 115 by my birthday in March!

Employment Contract Renewed

In June of 2009, I was hired to host Middays at Hot 107.9. In 2010, I was blessed to achieve the highest Midday Ratings in the 16 year history of the station! This year, Radio One presented me with the wonderful opportunity to renew my Employment Contract for 2 more years. Considering the state of the economy and the number of talented Radio Veterans who are without jobs right now, I feel very blessed to not only have a job, but to be in a field doing what I love!

I was feature on HGTV’s “My First Sale” with my family

After 12 months of on and off filming, our “My First Sale” episode aired on HGTV this Summer. The cameras followed us as we went through the process of selling my husband’s home in Baltimore. It was a great experience and the producers caught the most important moments of the home selling process.

Missed it? No worries! You can watch it HERE

I hold the belief that no matter what happens in our lives, there is always something to be grateful for. Golden opportunities are often disguised as adversity while periods of abundance are a manifestation of the “good seeds” we’ve planted in the past. Whatever your case may be, I encourage you to embrace the positive in every situation. After all, we ARE what we attract…Cheers to a prosperous 2012!
