In order to gain respect from others, you have to start by respecting yourself. You have to hold yourself to high standards and always see YOURSELF as GREAT, because if you don’t, you can’t expect anyone else to.

    hi maria u r a true inspiration to me and many others. i love reading the inspiring quotes that you display. i am also a single mom of 4 work full time and school full time and my kids are in sports throughout the year so i definitely look forward to your quotes for inspiration. thanks soooo much they really keep me going and i listen to u everyday while im at work…….luv ya much girlie keep doing what u do

    oh and can i ask for a request…..i am due to have my bachelors in april but it seems that now that i am near the end i am finding it harder and harder to do my school work and am finding myself depressed for no reason please please can u send me some encouraging words pertaining to this thanks

    Thanks so much for your comment! Have you watched the SECRET yet? Feelings of depression are normal, but the important thing is that you don’t dwell on those negative thoughts. Your Attitude will determine your Altitude. Stay FOCUSED on the FINISH LINE and not on the small obstacles that you are experiencing temporarily. Thanks for your support and kind words!

    Thanks Maria…Dr. Phil says something to the effect that we tell people how to treat us. We need to work on ourselves if we expect others to respect us. I think if we set goals for ourselves, then stick by those goals, we learn to respect ourselves. My new goal is to get up half an hour earlier than usual and meditate. (accomplished today!)
