Venus Williams: “Less is More?”

Sometimes I just don’t understand why people trip on Venus Williams’ choice of outfits. We all know she likes to be sexy on the court. Her seductive outfits might actually be the mojo that helps her win all the time. (hehehe)

Anywho, Venus’ most recent ensemble has all the heads turning. Do you think folks are overreacting? (pictured above is the outfit she recently wore during the U.S. Open)

Midday Motivation: Perseverance

perseverance

Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.  ~William Feather

You could be the fastest runner in the world, but if you stop before you reach the finish line, all of your talent and hard word means nothing. You cannot go through life quitting, once you identify your goals, you’ve got to stick with them until the end. Also, understand that a higher power is always working for you. Don’t give up.

Success is a matter of hanging on after others have let go…

Midday Motivation: The “Mind” Bully

Don’t let your mind bully your body. –Astrid Alauda

If you slow down, everything that you are chasing will eventually catch up to you. The best part of achieving a goal is the journey. Don’t stress about the things you cannot change.

Tension is what you think you should be, relaxation is what you are (Chinese Proverb). Don’t let your mind bully your body…

Yep, you get your Midday Motivation, EVEN on a HOLIDAY!

Today’s quote is taken from one of my favorite “Law of Attraction” books, The Secret. It is a universal quote that explains the power of your mind and how you attract your “dominant thought.” Simply put, it says:

“What you FOCUS on GROWS”

Yes, the more you focus on debt, bad health and broken relationships, the more you will attract those negative circumstances in your life. However, the more you focus on positive emotions, the more you attract the same into your life. Try your best to see the good in every situation, believe me…its there.

Midday Motivation: Don’t Complain

“Do not complain about what you permit. What You Are Willing To Walk Away From Determines What God Will Bring To You.” -Unknown

The only person that is standing in the way of you and success is YOU. Move out of your own way. Complaining about your situation is not gonna make it any better. Instead, you should invest that energy into finding ways to make yourself better, not bitter.

Midday Motivation: Responsibility

responsibility

The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny. ~Albert Ellis

Sometimes people don’t like to take their lives in their own hands because when they mess up, there’s no one to blame. When you blame, you give away your power.

ONLY until you own your choices will you have the ability to change your life for the better.

Midday Motivation: Think Positive!

positive-thinking

You are a product of your thoughts, what you think, you become. –Ghandi

Watch the company you keep. The things that people say can have a serious impact on your thoughts. If you hang around negative thinkers, you’ll eventually become just like them. To be great, surround yourself with greatness.

Keep positive thoughts and visions in your mind and your life will produce the same.

Midday Motivation: “Give Up” To Gain…

goals

One half of knowing what you want is knowing what you must give up before you get it. ~Sidney Howard

To gain success, you have to be willing to give up the things that are holding you back from attaining it. These things could be relationships, material possession or even a bad attitude.

Do your best to identify the roadblocks keeping you from your goals because you can’t fix a problem until you know what it is…

Midday Motivation: Attitude

“The only disability in life is a Bad Attitude” -Scott Hamilton

A positive attitude can take you really far! It can completely change your circumstances and how you interact with the people around you. However, a bad attitude will do the opposite.

No matter what, always try to maintain a positive attitude. You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel.
